Navigating Relationships and Feminism in College: A Personal Journey

i had a relationship in college that felt so sweet; but then when it was over it it was devastating,

we both knew not to marry. Those were confusing times. 89’s feminism was teaching us to experiment with our bodies in the most deleterious way.

now I have been finally, suddenly understanding about this relationship; just as I finally understood about the clamped catheter in the ICU experience.

which was also about learning HOW not to hurt people.

,

Mark was never a threat to Alex, who was my real and true husband who I was working on all my life, only to be loused uo by my family and then the Hopkins malpractice in ’94. Mark was about my brother as I was about his sister; we both had serious insular sibling opposite sex issues. In this regards, Mark was ancillary to the relationship with Alex and no longer a threat.

but Alex didnt know about any of this and couldn’t at the time or he would have been hurt.
