so, about Billy Holiday.

I saw the movie a month or two ago and was completely drawn in, not realizing that she was a Black woman with issues as any other Black woman.

She appealed to me in my mind to “keep doing what I was doing” (re Black World) and I was so flattered.

as I had felt so unloved in this regard because of the treatment I received under the governance of Obama.

but I had second thoughts about this, wondering whether she was just trying to make an example of me herself. As an older white woman I have been the victim of so much persecution by younger Black and also Latino woman in my travels on psych wards, homes, and the like.

I have discerned tonight where I am staying, that whatever Billie Holiday may have intended I have been followed for words that I put out about that biographical film about her with derision and hatred.

Nobody wanted to see me plighting my troth with this holy and beautiful person of color.

so I will escape this with my life intact by withdrawing from that discussion.
