my father signed off patents worth billion for a dollar per his contract with AT&T. I handed over my language AI program to Bolt Beranek and Newman in Massachusetts for a one line employment rejection letter back in the 80’s.

so many hi-tech companies raking in the bucks, families crossed for the sake of the almighty company. In my case it was a monopoly coming down. They were all like that. Techies are a different breed. They just so love their work. But their wives and kids are getting choked to live out the image without enough money and they suffer promotions into desk jobs that they don’t do right and then the axe comes one way or another and there’s no safety net. How many gazillion of families were harmed by AT&T alone under this rubric and others like it.

tragedies twenty years down the road.

How many gazillion should we be paying out to current AT&T cell phone users who are overpaying as I was back in Florida, 15 years ago, 250$ a month for a simple cell phone account because I didnt understand the charges.
