I scream louder than Alison, the girlfriend.
up all night, and that’s what it came down to,
I do it in an interior way.
once on a psych ward in Florida I mock banged my head on the wall and let out a few shrill screams and they said, “Please stop.”
psych wards were an answer for my pain that never worked.
It has been said that multiples (people with MPD, Multiple Personality Disorder) don’t do well on psych wards. Serial dissociatve disorder is a form of Multiple Personal Disorder, and has nothing to do with serial killers!
I do suffer from serial dissociative disorder, where you break through different persons over time and places in your life. Everybody does this to an extent but with serial dissociatve disorder there is psychosis and paranoia associated with the breaks.
I was never diagnosed this way. It is a clever diagnosis, easily masked.
A person breaks like that because of pain and stress.
I was never a cutter but I did engage in all kinds of self harm like depriving myself of food, picking my face, taking little overdoses of my meds, digging under my skin for nits when I had psychotic bug phobia.
in other words I got pretty crazy. But as Dr. Reading said in Florida, “you came by it honestly.” Then he said, “You’re not crazy.” He diagnosed “a mental form of OCD,” and did not find schizoaffective disorder or manic depression and said so,
The OCD was similar. It was accurately diagnosed in Florida when I was pregnant but rather than confirming this diagnosis, the attending physician at Hopkins in Baltimore ARGUED with my condition saying that he dreaded coming to my room for 45 minutes before he got there.
In Serial Personality Disorder the person often comes together at the end of their life or at the end of their treatment, as has been happening to me.
