I just realized last night—I can’t remember the circumstances—that I was taken for a deliberate echo of the name Abby Hoffman in my choice of the handle “abbyhillonline” for my major plunge into radical pro-Life activism.

I was familiar with “Steal This Book” by Abby Hoffman and “On the Road” by Jack Keruoak through a friend at Harvard and also my husband but never read either book. And certainly never styled myself after them! They were for young male intellectuals!

I never intended to cause fear in that regard. I am not familiar with the content of the two books but I am gathering today that they may have recommended a dangerous course. In a way that I would never adhere to.
