I learned about my father’s work and learned everything I needed to know to support a Canadian armchair intellectual in his work as a geodetic engineer who wanted to switch to a more lucrative career as a software engineer and did so so successfully.
I failed to develop a structured education in English literature but I did do enough to satisfy the creative writing option, unfortunately I wasn’t enrolled in that option. I pursued the dream “to be a writer” all my life but remained an amateur.
As a non honors English degree candidate I just took courses that draw my interest across all different departments. In the end I was attracted to psychology, philosophy, and religion. But it was way late to make a change. I was tapped out. Exhausted. Needed to quit reading.
So I ended up at Wernersville. Met Alex. Started watching movies. Ditched all the pretensions. Cooked and cleaned. Got ready to take on the challenges of motherhood.
