Kamala Harris may or may not be able to win against Donakd Trump but her pesidency would be a disaster. For instance, for one thing, it would be another 4 years of Jo Biden.
i know someone who is a New York Jewish intellectual and I presume high up in the democratic ranks, a friend from Harvard days (from which I myself am now in recovery) who was taxed by my time as “Advocate President” (Editor of the undergraduate literary magazine) to run for president of the upcoming board. I did not think to reveal to him that I had alteady endorsed someone else as President. In my desperation, I was trying to make it a good election. I wanted the New York society crowd to have a good candudate as the person I was endorsing was more like me and not a part of that group. It was horrifying how that played.
over the years, I becamed politicized through this.
I so worried down all of these decades about this person and what was thought and said and there was nothing that I could do to correct it.
but I am wondering if it was a foreshadowing of TODAY: when we desperately need a good race for the Presidency. A cleansing and healing stretch to the finish. For tnis person to step in.
we did not come to America to abandon our faith but to embrace it more fully in freedom. I do not care whether it is Christian or Jewish or Buddhist or Hindu but the President needs to embrace a strong spiritual or faith tradition of some kind to sustain themselves and foster us.
this country would fall apart under Kamala Harris.
i have already promised my vote to Donald Trump. But I am praying that this old Advocate friend from old times would step out in these dark times to enter the race for the White House.
