It’s lonely at the top

my father needed help all his life and couldn’t get it.

nobody, eg, a psychiatrist or therapist, could get hegemony over him because he was too high up, too secret stuff, the confidentiality agreement, et cetera. He must have felt so isolated.

I have finally figured him out.

he had his own form of organic personality disorder!

from being beaten with a metal fire poker as a child. By his mother.

I remember how he used to lay down in the floor in the kitchen in Summit, NJ, saying he was feeding his brain with blood. He didn’t realize that he was twitching all over. Obviously, nerve problems from being beaten with the fire poker! He used to say acceptingly that he “was not a normal man.” (My mother agreed.) He also had endemic OCD, as I know from my struggles with this issue.
