God works through hi-tech as through anything else.

God is up-to-date.

the i triple e (IEEE: Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) are a weird breed. They have a beautiful mission statement: to improve life for humankind. We (my father is one therefore so am I) are well-off but not wealthy. We are superintelligent and attend good colleges. We come from all kinds of backgrounds, nationally and racially. We are not always super-religious in a traditional way but I am.

It can be a religion in itself to embrace science; or medicine; or hi-tech. I have endorsed this view before and I do maintain it. My father has stated to me his view that scientists like Newton and Einstein should be deemed saints. Also, he used to quote the expression, “All roads lead to Rome.” I take this to reflect that any road will ultimately lead you to Jesus. But you do have to strike out and be seeking in some way. Accentuate the positive. No faith is not a form of faith.

So, we have people like Bill Gates who have created a new social bracket: the hi-tech ultra-wealthy. It trickles down the ranks. Where we used not to be accepted, when I was growing up.

The world has so changed through hi-tech. So many people have so worried that we have blown it this way and I have struggled with despair in this regard. But I believe that it is about the human race changing; about going into outer space!
