WTC

Manhattan was so beautiful and lovely before 9-11.

Thrilling and exciting.

I went there as a child. My father always took the same wrong turn and we ended up in Harlem.

My high school was Manhattan oriented. We took buses to the NY Port Authority to get to our vacation destinations. Harvard was even more so. I worked on Wall Street as a temp secretary for two summers, took the PATH train into the basement of the World Trade Center and walked to work.

Also I went to Madison Square Garden for the horse show and rock concerts. And to the Lone Star Cafe with my brorher and his friends. In college I dined all over town at the best restsurants and went partying at clubs.

It is still so sad what happened to New York City.

When I see it today in movies it feels strange, empty, and lonely. The terror is gone but so is the beautiful spirit of that great city.

I am finally able to mourn and grieve.

The Lord is with us for this loss.
